(1007) Cave, chasm, abyss. From the prelatin root *le(i)s- "cave, rock". Cf. perhaps Lesura, old name of the Mount Lozère. Cp. prelatin *balm(a) > fr. baume "cave, rock".
(1007) Sima, cueva, caverna, abismo. De la raíz pre-latina *le(i)s- "cueva, escarpadura rocosa". Cf. acaso Lesura, antiguo nombre del Monte Lozère. Cp. prelatín *balm(a) > fr. baume "cueva, escarpadura rocosa".
